"Swedish passenger molests air hostess and assaults co-passenger on IndiGo flight"

Our sources reported a disturbing incident involving a Swedish national who allegedly molested an IndiGo air hostess and assaulted a fellow passenger during a flight from Istanbul to Delhi on March 29, 2022. The accused passenger, who was reportedly drunk, was arrested upon landing at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The passenger, identified as Klas Erik Harald Jonas Westberg, also reportedly assaulted a co-passenger and created a ruckus mid-air on the 6E-1052 Indigo Flight.

The incident took place in the business class section of the plane, where the accused allegedly touched the air hostess inappropriately, despite her objections. When a co-passenger tried to intervene, the accused reportedly assaulted him as well. The crew members then informed the pilot, who immediately alerted the authorities at the Delhi airport. Upon landing, the accused was taken into custody by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and handed over to the Delhi Police.

This incident highlights the importance of strict measures to prevent alcohol consumption on flights, especially on long-haul flights where passengers tend to consume more alcohol to pass the time. It also emphasizes the need for proper training of flight crews in handling such situations and dealing with unruly passengers. IndiGo, the airline involved in this incident, has a zero-tolerance policy towards such incidents and has assured that appropriate action will be taken against the accused passenger.

Overall, this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining appropriate behavior and respect for fellow passengers and crew members while traveling, especially in a confined space like an airplane.
